2004 Barn Calendar

a sample of months

This 19th Century barn on Griffin Road was built right behind the earlier 18th century barn to accomodate changing agricultural practices.

This wonderful complex, used as a horse farm, is comprised of 18th, 19th and 20th century barns.

This barn on Middle Road is a good example of connected architecture, allowing farmers to access the barn while staying out of the weather.

This late 19th century barn on the Parade is equipped with a drive-on scale, built into the main aisle floor, to weigh wagonloads.

Outbuildings such as the corn shed in the foreground were once common sites surrounding barns. Unfortunately, there are few of these outbuildings left in town.
